Merlott's Galleries has re-branded after we have taken a different direction. Following the effects of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, we have massively changed and streamlined our business model.

 

We are now The Critchco Group Ltd, a Specialist Probate Support company, assisting solicitors and executors from initial written valuation for IHT, to complete property clearance. We work with and are now a part of Warrington Auction, which allows us to be able to arrange valuations or collections at short notice, with a team of dedicated staff who are all insured, registered waste carriers, experienced valuers and auctioneers. Being situated just off the M6 & M62 means we can quickly cover most of the Northwest, and Jon (being from the Wirral) is just a short drive away from Chester and North Wales.

About Jon Critchley

​

Jon is the face of The Critchco Group, and has been in the antiques trade for over 17 years. He has had the opportunity to work with some well-known faces in the industry, as well as being a part of several antiques TV shows, including 'Flog It!', 'Dickinson's Real Deal', 'Cash in the Attic' and 'Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners: Country House Edition'.

 

Jon is an active member of The Antiques Young Guns, an organisation committed to supporting young people in the antiques & auctioneering industry. Click the logo to the top-left of this page to find out more.

Jon is not only a director of The Critchco Group, but he is also director of Northwich Antiques Centre which is managed by his wife Beth, and (as of April 2021) director and half owner of Warrington Auction.
